Maria Waldrast, Matrei, 35 min
The highest monastery in the Alps combines history, spirituality, and stunning alpine scenery. During summer easily reachable by car or a scenic hike from the Wipptal valley. Parking is available nearby, well-marked trails lead straight to the monastery. In winter, a toboggan run leads from Matrei to Maria Waldrast. More info here.
Grawa Waterfall and the Wild Water Way, Stubaital, 1 hour
A spectacular display of alpine nature and rushing waters in Stubaital. The Grawa Waterfall is one of the largest and most impressive in the Stubai Valley. Nearby, the Wild Water Way offers a scenic trail along rushing streams and alpine terrain. It is also possible to get up close to the waterfall via several viewing platforms that lead uphill to the Sulzenau Alm.

Top of Tyrol Summit Platform, Stubaital, 1 hour
Located at 3,210 metres, the platform is a breathtaking highlight of the Stubai Glacier. From this vantage point, you can marvel at sweeping panoramic views of the Stubai Alps. On clear days, the panorama stretches all the way to the majestic Dolomites.

Sankt Magdalena, Gschnitz, 30 min
The hike to St. Magdalena in the Gschnitz Valley is about 4 km and takes around 2 hours. With roughly 450 m elevation gain, it's a moderate but rewarding walk . The trail leads through meadows and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

Trautson bridge, Matrei, 25 min
The suspension bridge is located below the Matrei-Trautson castle area between Pfons and Mühlbachl above the Sill Gorge. The hike to the bridge starts in Matrei, with parking available at the Mittelschule. With total lenght of 4 km it's an easy and family-friendly walk.
